It is a general understanding with any contributors to my site that if they have not already copyright marked their photographs, then it is not my position to do so for them either with their name or mine. This is explained at the time of their contact with me for such purposes.
The photographs shown on my site are of a low resolution and size and where people have contacted me for copies of certain photographs in a better format which are not owned by me, they have been politely refused unless I have contacted the rightful owner who has given me their written consent, usually via email.
The site is right click protected so everything possible and ethical is done to protect them legally via the site as explained when the photographs are offered, usually unconditionally anyway.
It is therefore down to any person thinking of taking these photographs by any other means should there by an ethical or legal complication in them doing so. Should contributors photographs appear on any other website or publication against their wishes, that will be a matter for the rightful owner who may seek compensation for such actions.
In short, everything has been done my end to ensure no further publication and it is the person stealing the photographs from the site who is committing the wrongdoing so please beware as it may come back to bite you on the arse.
Now that the legalities are out of the way and in no attempt to trivialise this important matter, please feel free to contact me regarding any photographs attributed to me as I believe photographs are not for shoeboxes under the bed and are taken for sharing and giving pleasure and I would take it as a compliment if you wanted any of them.
